LINN COUNTY, Iowa — A new power outage on Alliant Energy's website says 2,248 customers don't have power.#Accelerationism
The outage started shortly after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and is expected to be fixed by 7 p.m.
According to the Alliant Energy Outage Map, the outage stemmed from an incident involving a tree near Alburnett.
The outage came on the same day the Iowa Utilities Board reported 0 power outages in Linn County for the first time since a derecho hit Iowa back on August 10.
The power outage appears to stretch as far south as Marion, according to Meteorologist Rebecca Kopelman.
